A large indoor hall with a crowd of mostly men seated on the floor in white shirts and dhotis, facing a raised stage. On the stage a seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate red-and-gold throne, with garlands and floral decorations around the stage. A standing man in white clothes holds a microphone at the left side of the stage, and another standing figure in white is nearby. A banner above the stage reads in Tamil script; the stage is framed by a colourful festoon arch and a blue-and-green backdrop. The seated figure wears saffron clothing and appears to be the central honoured figure, but facial and presentation cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2002-07-072003 - Sacred collection UncategorizedA large indoor hall packed with seated devotees, many women with long braided hair and colourful saris in purple, orange, blue and pink, with some men in white shirts seated at the front and sides. On a raised dais under a decorative pavilion with strings of flower garlands, a figure dressed in orange-red clothing sits on a seat, with a row of white-clad attendants standing nearby and a person in a light blue sari at the right edge. A printed sign on the wall reads A. Ramanatha Mudaliar Hall, and a banner behind the dais shows Tamil text. Oil lamps and brass vessels sit on the dais.2002-07-07 +1 copiesPhotograph of a seated audience filling a hall with a green-and-white striped floor mat, facing a raised stage. Dozens of men in white shirts and dhotis sit cross-legged in front, with women in colourful saris seated toward the back. On the stage, a person in white sits on a white-draped seat before a blue backdrop, with a standing figure beside a small lectern. A blue banner hangs on the right wall, and a Tamil banner marks the event. Ceiling fans, chandeliers and wall lamps light the room.January 12 20072007-01-12A large hall packed with seated devotees on white plastic chairs, viewed from the back, facing a stage at the far end. Many attendees wear white shirts and kurtas, women wear saris in green, pink and blue, and some have flowers in their hair. A large banner on the stage backdrop shows a portrait of a long-haired figure with arms raised, with a small figure in orange seated at the stage below. Strings of lights run along the balconies, and people stand on the upper balconies watching. Ceiling fans and a green-and-white painted ceiling are visible. Whether the stage figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is described only as a seated figure in orange.2007-01-12Indoor photo of a seated audience in a hall with a tiled floor and ceiling fans. A man in white dhoti and shirt with a red-and-orange cloth over his shoulder stands on the left at the top of a red-railed staircase, appearing to address the gathering. Most attendees sit cross-legged on the floor in white clothes, while others wear checked shirts and a blue shirt. A brass oil lamp stands on a small table near the stairs. At the back wall, a large banner shows a bearded figure's portrait. Tubelights and hanging chandeliers light the room.January 12 20072007-01-12June 07 20042004-06-07July 30 20082008-07-30 +1 copiesNovember 12 20082008-11-12July 30 20082008-07-30 +1 copies
