A large indoor hall with a crowd of mostly men seated on the floor in white shirts and dhotis, facing a raised stage. On the stage a seated figure in saffron-orange robes sits on an ornate red-and-gold throne, with garlands and floral decorations around the stage. A standing man in white clothes holds a microphone at the left side of the stage, and another standing figure in white is nearby. A banner above the stage reads in Tamil script; the stage is framed by a colourful festoon arch and a blue-and-green backdrop. The seated figure wears saffron clothing and appears to be the central honoured figure, but facial and presentation cues are not distinctive enough to confirm identity.2002-07-07 +2 copiesA large indoor hall packed with seated devotees, many women with long braided hair and colourful saris in purple, orange, blue and pink, with some men in white shirts seated at the front and sides.
