In the foreground a bare-chested priest in a pink turban and white dhoti sits before a brick fire pit (homa/yagna), holding a small copper vessel and a flower-decorated object over the flames, with a copper bowl beside the fire and marigolds and petals on the bricks. Behind him, a seated figure in a red-brown robe, a gold necklace and a bracelet sits in front of an elaborate golden floral backdrop with red cushions. The seated figure has a white tilak on the forehead and a full beard; a robed attendant stands at the upper right and another person stands at the top, partly visible. Yellow flowers lie at the right edge.2016-09-29March 16 20172017-03-16A homa fire ceremony in an outdoor courtyard. A central seated figure on a gold-carved throne with a red cushion has hands pressed in namaskar, wearing a rust-orange dhoti, a gold ornamental necklace, red bangles and a white forehead mark; a long dark braided hair flows down. Beside him on a striped cloth, a bare-chested man in an orange-and-white dhoti with a rudraksha mala and painted arm markings sits watching. A shirtless attendant in white dhoti with a yellow sash and orange-yellow headcloth pours an offering from a vessel into a brick fire pit where flames rise over offerings, with rose petals scattered on the bricks. A woman in a green sari stands behind, and a red umbrella with tassels shades the scene. Probable Swamiji cues: long dark hair, ornate gold necklace and orange clothing on the throned figure.2017-03-16March 16 20172017-03-16 +2 copiesJune 04 20182018-06-04March 16 20172017-03-16March 16 20172017-03-16Inside a temple hall, a fire pit (homa/yagna) burns in the foreground with flames rising from a yellow-brick base. A seated man in a red-orange cloth and rudraksha mala sits on an ornate gold throne with red cushions. Three attendants in saffron-orange and red-orange dhotis and turbans stand before a wooden door, one holding a metal plate and another a vessel, while a fourth figure in red-orange presses near them. Brass pots decorated with mango leaves and coconuts sit on a pedestal beside oil lamps (oil lamps) burning at the doorway, and a sandalwood-brown carved wooden door is behind them.2018-04-11
