A large, mature banyan tree photographed from below, looking up into its dense canopy. Thick, grey, twisted trunks and many aerial roots hang down in tangled columns, while wide horizontal branches spread outward and are covered with green leaves against a pale sky. No people, deities, or ritual objects are visible; the subject is the tree's sprawling trunk and branch structure.2008-12-10April 26 20132013-04-26A large banyan tree photographed from ground level, its thick grey trunks and many hanging aerial roots descending from wide spreading branches.
