Night photograph of a Deepavali celebration with bright sparklers and fireworks throwing showers of golden sparks through smoky haze. Several people in plain white robes stand in a group, some holding lit sparklers, on a dusty ground. A silhouetted figure in the left foreground extends an arm toward the fire. On the far right, a person in white garments with a beaded necklace stands by a dark pillar. No clearly identifiable face is visible enough to establish a candidate, so the identity is uncertain, and roles are described instead.
