March 02 20182018-03-02A man with long dreadlocked hair and a full beard stands before a large gilded throne-like seat with ornate carved golden backrest and red cushion. He wears a rust-orange shawl draped over a matching robe and a thick garland of yellow marigolds and red roses around his neck. A vertical tilak mark is on his forehead; his hands are folded at his waist and his gaze is lowered. Behind him, two men in saffron-orange robes with rudraksha malas stand in the background, one with a shaved head and white tilak. Strings of multicolored fairy lights and scaffolding are visible overhead in an indoor hall. The man in the garland is a person (appearance cues: dreadlocked hair, distinctive orange shawl, garland and forehead marking, seated-throne setting), presented as a guest of honour.2018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02October 01 20172017-10-01A photograph at dusk of a man in an orange-brown sannyasi robe with a long dark braided hair hanging down his back, a white vibhuti line on his forehead and a thick bushy beard, smiling with palms pressed together in anjali mudra. Behind him stand white-robed figures and a seated bull (Nandi) statue draped in yellow cloth, with a red carpet on the courtyard floor. At left, a person in white holds a brass tray with fruit and flowers, and another person at right holds green leaves.
