A cobra hood is visible above the figure, and a golden trident stands on each side. In the foreground a figure with long dark hair and bare back, wearing a gold-orange dhoti, holds an oil lamp toward the murti in aarti. A golden peetha or pedestal with a gold bull figure sits at the base. The black background and warm lamp light frame the scene.2016-09-01March 02 20182018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02March 02 20182018-03-02A photograph of an evening temple ritual under an open roofed pavilion. In the foreground a bare-backed priest in a rust-red dhoti with gold-bordered cloth over the shoulder and a rudraksha mala around his neck waves a lit oil lamp toward a deity murti. The deity sits on a gilded throne and is heavily decorated with gold jewellery, a crown, layered garlands of white, yellow, orange and purple flowers, and a green cloth draped over the seat. A gold-painted elephant base supports the throne. A striped white and red wall and a hanging decorative tassel frame the scene, and a person stands at the right edge in the dark. This appears to be an aarti offering rather than a depiction of a particular individual.2014-11-23A man seen from behind, bare-shouldered, in a rust-red dhoti with gold-bordered upper cloth, stands on a raised platform beside a deity murti decorated with marigold and multicolour garlands and a silver-gold crown. The murti sits on a golden lion-backed throne draped in green cloth, and he rests his hand on the throne's green covering in a puja gesture. Gold-framed silver arch, striped white and maroon wall, and hanging decorative tassels frame the scene under a metal-roofed pavilion. A small figure stands at the right edge. The image carries a copyright credit on the right.2014-11-23November 26 20112011-11-26
