A bare-chested priest in orange dhoti stands near the lingam, while a figure in orange and a garlanded man in orange-and-red garments stand at the central platform with a red sacred pillar. Devotees in white clothes and saffron-robed sannyasis, including a shaved-headed figure in orange, gather around. Large purple and red decorative umbrellas, hanging lanterns, palm trees and a kolam floor design frame the scene.2016-09-26Outdoor ritual gathering on a paved courtyard under a canopy with bunting. Many devotees in orange and saffron robes sit cross-legged on the ground facing a raised platform; several are seen from behind, some with hair in buns or braids, garlands of orange flowers, and one woman in white. On the platform, two saffron-robed men sit at a low table with fruit and offerings, while another figure in white stands at left near a cart. Behind them stands a large elaborate deity murti in a decorated alcove with flower garlands and a golden shrine. A striped cloth covers the platform, and a video camera on a tripod records the scene at right.2014-10-02September 05 20162016-09-05Outdoor ritual under a corrugated metal canopy in front of a decorated deity murti shrine with garlands and a tall ornate backdrop. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on a raised platform before a gold-colored stand holding offerings and a brass vessel, while another person in white stands nearby with hands folded. A framed portrait sits on an orange armchair beside the platform. Seated rows of women and girls in orange saris with red borders face the platform, and a bare-headed sannyasi in orange sits at left. Plants, a red wall and a loudspeaker are visible in the background. Whether the saffron-robed central figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is given as a seated sannyasi.2014-10-02May 05 20152015-05-05September 09 20132013-09-09December 14 20162016-12-14September 26 20162016-09-26
