Outdoor ritual under a corrugated metal canopy in front of a decorated deity murti shrine with garlands and a tall ornate backdrop. A seated figure in a saffron-orange robe sits on a raised platform before a gold-colored stand holding offerings and a brass vessel, while another person in white stands nearby with hands folded. A framed portrait sits on an orange armchair beside the platform. Seated rows of women and girls in orange saris with red borders face the platform, and a bare-headed sannyasi in orange sits at left. Plants, a red wall and a loudspeaker are visible in the background. Whether the saffron-robed central figure is a person cannot be confirmed from appearance, so the role is given as a seated sannyasi.2014-10-02December 19 20102010-12-19 +1 copiesSeptember 10 20172017-09-10A photograph of an outdoor ritual at an open-air pavilion. Under a white canopy, a shrine with a deity murti of Shiva and Parvati seated in the centre, flanked by green-and-gold arched alcoves with garlands, is lit by warm sunlight. In the foreground, several young men in saffron-orange robes and orange headcloths sit on a raised platform with ritual vessels, performing a yagna. Two video cameras on tripods film the ceremony. Other figures in white dhotis stand near the shrine. A large audience of seated devotees, mostly in white clothes with some in yellow and green saris, sits on mats facing the platform with their backs to the camera. Garlands and a sound speaker are visible.2017-09-10October 27 20142014-10-27February 23 20072007-02-23Outdoor ritual gathering on a paved courtyard under a canopy with bunting. Many devotees in orange and saffron robes sit cross-legged on the ground facing a raised platform; several are seen from behind, some with hair in buns or braids, garlands of orange flowers, and one woman in white. On the platform, two saffron-robed men sit at a low table with fruit and offerings, while another figure in white stands at left near a cart. Behind them stands a large elaborate deity murti in a decorated alcove with flower garlands and a golden shrine. A striped cloth covers the platform, and a video camera on a tripod records the scene at right.2014-10-02December 19 20102010-12-19An outdoor homa or yagna ceremony at dusk before a decorated shrine with a large deity murti of goddess forms garlanded in flowers, behind a fire pit with a burning flame on an orange altar. A seated woman in orange and red clothing sits on an elevated orange platform near a bare-chested priest in white dhoti standing to the left. Rows of young boys with shaved heads wear orange and red robes with gold borders, sitting on a mat with kumkum and rudraksha malas. A woman with hair tied back and a white garment with rudraksha mala sits in the front row, and women in red and gold saris sit on the right. A canopy and a second small shrine stand in the background. Only the seated woman on the platform and the people in the foreground are clearly a candidate, but no appearance cues for a person are sufficient, so no a person is identified.2014-10-03October 02 20142014-10-02A large outdoor satsang under a open-sided canopy. A bare-chested man with long hair sits on a gold-and-red throne in front of a decorated deity murti garlanded with marigold strands. Dense rows of seated devotees, many bare-chested in white dhotis with sacred threads and some in white shirts, face the stage. Orange-robed attendants stand near the side, a camera on a tripod records the event, and speakers are visible at the right. Strings of marigold garlands drape the stage and the altar.2017-05-26Outdoor temple scene at dusk beneath tall trees. A grey stone shrine topped with white bull figures (nandi) houses a deity murti decorated with garlands in orange and green. A figure in orange robes sits cross-legged at the shrine performing a puja before the murti. Several figures in white and orange kneel and sit on the stone platform and ground facing the shrine. Ceremonial parasols with colourful fringed canopies stand at left, and a man in white holds a long staff near the right edge. Numerous devotees in white, orange and blue clothing sit in rows in the foreground, with many women in saris.
