A man seated on an ornate silver throne wears an orange-red head wrap, a long gold-and-white beaded garland, and an orange-saffron cloth; a shaved-headed priest in orange sits beside him. Around them, many devotees in orange and saffron robes, several with shaved heads and rudraksha malas, sit on the ground facing the throne, with women in dark and orange clothing in front. Some people in white clothes stand in the background near the trees.2013-07-22Photo of a ceremony in a warmly lit hall with red draped walls and gold-carved decor. A figure in a saffron-orange robe and matching turban sits on an ornate gold throne at the upper right, with a long gold staff beside it. Many seated devotees surround the throne, mostly in white and red-bordered clothing with red shawls, holding small lit oil lamps and brass plates. Several men in white dhoti-style garments sit in the foreground, and a woman in a lavender sari sits near the throne. The scene suggests a puja or darshan. Many visible people are seated; the figure on the throne appears to be Swamiji (probable), based on the saffron robe, turban and throne.2015-10-26July 29 20122012-07-29 +1 copiesA devotee gathering in a warmly lit hall with purple stage lighting and gold-carved pillars. A figure seated on an ornate gold-and-orange throne with a white and red flower garland, wearing orange and saffron robes, appears to be the central figure, though identity is not established from appearance alone. Seated devotees in front wear white kurtas or saris with orange-red shawls printed with text, and some hold brass plates of flowers and offerings. Brass oil lamps and a red flower-filled plate stand at the left, and a lantern hangs at the upper right. The group appears to be performing a padapuja, with devotees seated around the throne and a tray of offerings placed before it.2015-07-21A photograph of a seated spiritual gathering in a decorated hall with a rose-and-vine painted backdrop. A man in an orange-red robe and matching turban sits on an ornate gold throne, wearing a white flower garland and holding a silver staff, with hands raised in a teaching gesture; a red-and-gold canopy hangs above him. Around him, devotees in white ritual clothes and red shawls sit on the floor holding small lit oil lamps, while rose petals are scattered across the backdrop and a brass lamp stand sits in the lower corner. Swamiji (probable): the seated teacher wears saffron-orange robes, a turban and a flower garland, an appearance consistent with the page's Swamiji cue, so the figure is tentatively identified. A microphone is visible at lower right.2015-05-27November 20 20102010-11-20
