The devotee has hands pressed together in namaskar. Behind them, other people in white and red attire sit or stand in a temple setting with gold pillars, brass lamps and garlands. Swamiji (probable) is the bare-shouldered man in orange with long swept-back hair and rudraksha mala, giving blessing to the devotee.2015-05-09July 05 20152015-07-05 +1 copiesA standing man bare-shouldered in rust-orange cloth, wearing a red and pink flower garland with gold beaded necklaces and a white sacred ash mark on his forehead, places his right palm on the head of a kneeling devotee in a white shirt. The devotee wears an orange shawl printed with black Tamil script. Behind them a large silver trident stands beside a golden deity murti and bamboo screens with red drapery and a peacock-feather fan at the left edge. Appearance-based candidate: a person, shown performing blessing as an initiation-style gesture, with the visible flower garland, gold necklaces and orange cloth as cues.2014-07-16August 11 20172017-08-11November 15 20132013-11-15A photo of a seated figure in a rust-orange turban, wearing an orange-and-gold robe and a beaded rudraksha-style mala necklace, placing a hand on the forehead of a standing man with curly dark hair who has his palms pressed together in namaste. The man wears a white kurta and an orange shawl printed with text. Behind them is a deep red drape and a gilded throne-like chair with ornate carving, and a partially visible woman in orange appears at the right edge. The gesture resembles a blessing or darshan. The seated figure's distinctive turban, orange robe and mala are consistent with the page's claim of Swamiji's presence, so this is a probable identification from appearance cues.2015-10-25A photograph of a guru-disciple blessing in a ceremonial hall with red drapes. A man in a saffron-orange robe with a white forehead mark and a dark hair knot sits on a gold-ornamented seat and extends his right hand onto the head of a kneeling devotee. The devotee wears a white shirt, an orange-red shawl with printed text, and a rudraksha bracelet, and holds his palms together. Behind the blessing stands a silver staff with a finial and a peacock-feather fan, beside a golden lion-form armrest. The appearance is consistent with a person, seated in a saffron robe with a white tilak and a dark hair knot; the blessing is given in the seated role of a guru.2014-07-20
