Close-up of bare feet in a padapuja ritual, standing on a gold-patterned platform. The feet are draped by an orange robe at the top of the frame and are adorned with red roses, white jasmine-like flowers and white petals. Silver trays hold more pink and red roses, and gold-capped small vessels with yellow liquid stand beside the feet. A hand on the left pours or places an offering and a second hand on the right holds flowers. The person whose feet these are is not visible beyond the robe, so no identity can be assigned from the image. Only partial people are visible: two hands and a sliver of dark hair at the right edge.2010-08-21Close-up photo of a pada-puja, the ritual washing and worship of feet.
