A central figure with long matted locks, a gold crown-like ornament on the head, red-and-gold beaded garland, heavy gold necklace and rudraksha mala, wearing a rust-brown robe, walks holding a silver staff. Attendants in white dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas flank him, one in orange garments carries a brass kalasha-type vessel, and a red-and-gold ceremonial umbrella and a bell stand behind. Several onlookers are visible at the right and bottom. In the foreground a shaved-headed young man in white dhoti and shawl with a gold-coloured edging, wearing a dark rudraksha mala, carries a tall gold trident staff with a finial. Behind him to the left a bare-chested man in a white cloth walks, and on the far left a yellow banner with red, blue and green floral embroidery and a white bird emblem flutters on a gold pole. Several people in orange and saffron robes follow, and on the right a woman in a pink kurta holds an orange ceremonial umbrella. Pink, orange and yellow decorated umbrellas are carried overhead, a white vehicle appears in the background, and the setting is a procession with ratha-style ceremonial pageantry.2017-01-13November 14 20132013-11-14February 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesApril 17 20162016-04-17Night-time outdoor procession at an open ground under a tarpaulin canopy with a blue backdrop and string lights. Those on the left wear rust-red dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas; the centre figure wears saffron-orange cloth; the two on the right wear white dhotis with gold borders. Several have sacred ash on their foreheads and brass or silver armlets. Spectators in white and coloured clothing stand behind them. This appears to be a temple-style procession with ritual weapon bearers.2016-01-02 +1 copiesJuly 19 20162016-07-19Outdoor procession crowd in a festival street lined with decorated parasols in red, purple, yellow and pink.
