White sacred ash marks are on his forehead and upper arm. He holds his hands in front of him in a mudra-like gesture. Behind him, a tiered red stone amphitheatre is filled with seated people in white and colourful clothing, with small black stone lingam-like shrines or pillars along the steps. The setting appears to be an outdoor ritual gathering. The boy's appearance does not clearly match the a person cues, so he is described by role only.2016-12-19A young boy with a shaved head and white sacred markings on his body stands at the centre, wearing a rudraksha mala necklace and a white thread, and opens his mouth toward a food offering. Around him, bare-chested men wear saffron-orange dhotis with gold borders and rudraksha malas and bracelets. A hand on the right holds a portion of yellow rice food being offered, as part of a Maheshwara Puja style food offering ritual. Several other devotees stand in the background.2016-12-18April 10 20132013-04-10 +1 copiesClose portrait of a young boy with short dark hair and a red vertical tilak on his forehead, wearing an orange saffron shawl draped over one shoulder and tied at the waist, with a red thread sash crossing his chest.
