A tall carved wooden dhwaja stambha, wrapped with rope-like bands and topped with a small orange flag, rises against a partly cloudy blue sky with palm fronds at the right. A man in a flowing saffron-orange robe and a rudraksha mala stands at the base, holding the orange rope that runs up the pole. A second figure in orange-red cloth stands at the right edge, partly cropped. A carved figure is visible on the pole's base. A bearded man with long swept-back hair, wearing a red-brown shawl and dhoti, multiple red and white flower garlands, a gold-toned pendant and rudraksha-style mala, and a forehead tilak, stands at the pillar holding a yellow flower. Behind him a younger attendant in an orange cloth holds a copper vessel. Palm fronds and trees fill the background, with a patterned cloth at the left edge.
