Nearby sits a brass plate with rice, a small metal vessel and a wooden bowl of offerings. At the top edge, the lower legs and white-clad knees of a seated person in a yellow-cream cloth are visible, with a bare foot at right, but no face or full figure is shown. Bundles of sticks lie at the right. The page describes a Nithya-Satsang Homa; the visible fire pit with offerings matches a homa, and the seated person's identity cannot be determined from the visible portion.2015-07-18Close view of a stepped fire pit built from yellow-painted bricks, scattered with red and pink rose petals. Piled dry logs sit behind the steps, and a brass ritual lamp with a flame-shaped finial stands at the right edge. No people are visible; the scene suggests a homa preparation.2017-12-28Close photograph of a homa fire pit built from stacked clay bricks decorated with red kumkum and yellow turmeric marks and wrapped with coloured threads. Tall orange flames and smoke rise from burning wood in the centre, and a metal bowl with a ladle sits above the fire. Blurred purple light and a seated person's hand in the upper right suggest a ritual gathering.2015-07-09 +1 copiesA photograph of a stacked brick structure with rectangular yellow-ochre bricks arranged in tiers beside grey stone steps. Each brick is marked with white circular patches centred with red kumkum dots and scattered red dots. Dry twigs are piled at the upper right, and a rope lies at the lower right. No people are visible.2018-01-01 +1 copiesA homa fire pit built from yellow-ochre bricks decorated with white stripes and red dots, with pink flowers placed on the bricks. Burning embers and grey ash sit in the central fire, with an orange fruit and a reddish offering visible near the flames. Around it, several people in white clothes sit cross-legged, holding open books and ritual items; one person holds a steel plate of pink and orange flowers and garlands. Silver ritual vessels, a spoon and a wooden ladle lie nearby.2006-02-27Close outdoor photograph of two reddish-brown clay bricks set on bare red earth, with a thin metal rod standing upright between them. Yellow and white chrysanthemum-type flowers are arranged across the tops and sides of both bricks, with red kumkum powder and yellow turmeric powder scattered nearby. Loose petals lie on the ground and white and yellow powder marks decorate the soil at the corners. No people are visible.2010-12-16
