A few women in the foreground wear rudraksha-style beads and red bindis, and some have hands folded. Many people wear white tops with red or orange shawls and red kumkum or vibhuti marks on their foreheads; some wear malas. Several women in the foreground, including one in a white sari with a red-orange border, sit with hands resting in their laps, and one woman in the front right wears a blue-and-white patterned top with an orange shawl. Their attention is directed toward an unseen speaker or ritual focus.
