A lit fire pit with offerings sits in front, flanked by brass lamps and metal bowls of flowers and offerings. A bare-chested priest in orange dhoti stands at left holding a cloth, with a second attendant in white nearby. At right a man in maroon robes and a garland sits with palms pressed together beside an ornate gold seat under a multicoloured umbrella. A smaller decorated shrine with garlands is behind. Striped mats and baskets of flowers lie on the ground.2016-02-16A temple puja in progress at night before a decorated deity murti on a golden pedestal, its neck and body garlanded with white and yellow flower chains and red flower strands. A bare-chested priest in white dhoti and a white shoulder cloth sits on the red floor at left, holding a long brass ritual implement toward the deity. Two brass oil lamps with red garlands stand on either side, and brass vessels, a bell and offerings sit on the steps. Behind the murti, painted panels show standing deity figures framed by garlands. Two other figures in white dhotis and a yellow cloth sit at upper left near garlanded statues, while a light-coloured cloth hangs at right. The wall behind shows a grey stone temple setting.2016-12-07February 22 20162016-02-22 +1 copies
