April 17 20222022-04-17Outdoor photo of a flag-hoisting ceremony beneath tall coconut palms. A bare-chested man with a shaved head and rudraksha mala on the left looks up toward a white flagpole. Beside him, a man in a red turban and orange-red garment, with white flower garlands and a rudraksha mala, raises his arms and pulls a rope. A red and multicoloured ceremonial umbrella with tassels hangs near the pole, with an orange and yellow decorative cloth below it. A saffron flag flutters at the top of the pole, and a string of white and orange printed banners strung between the palms carries a small portrait image. Several men with shaved heads and garlands watch and raise their hands in the crowd at the lower right.2014-06-29 +1 copiesPhoto 11724079 +1 copiesApril 14 20182018-04-14January 01 20172017-01-01December 29 20162016-12-29 +1 copiesJanuary 01 20172017-01-01January 01 20172017-01-01January 01 20172017-01-01June 07 20162016-06-07A photo of an outdoor procession. A seated figure rides a golden palanquin decorated with yellow and magenta marigold garlands, orange flowers and fringed parasols in red, yellow and multicolour. The seated figure wears white and a crown-like headpiece with a red-and-white garland. Around the palanquin, many devotees in white dhotis and shirts crowd the road, with a shaved-headed man in white sacred thread and a woman in a gold-bordered sari close beside it. Palm trees and a brick wall stand behind. a person is cued by the palanquin seat and the crown-like headwear, but the figure's appearance is only partly visible, so treat this as uncertain.2011-01-01January 01 20172017-01-01
