A central figure is carried on a flower-decorated palanquin-style platform draped in purple and pink fabric, with a large garland of red and white flowers and green leaves. The seated figure wears an ornate orange and gold headdress, gold necklaces and a long garland, and is raised toward a tall orange-gold pole held above. Around them, devotees in orange and saffron robes with rudraksha malas and tilak marks stand close, several with palms pressed together in greeting. One man in the foreground pours or offers from a metal tray, and a woman on the right in a white and gold garment with a maroon shawl and bangles stands with folded hands. Bare-chested attendants with dreadlocked topknots and white ash markings complete the procession-like scene.2018-12-22Photo 11724190 +2 copies
