April 17 20162016-04-17A stage event with red draped curtains and a golden ornamental pillar at right. Two men stand in front, both in white dhotis with gold borders and bare upper bodies, and both wear rudraksha malas. The man at right, wearing glasses and a wristwatch, holds a microphone in folded hands and speaks. The younger man beside him, with long dark hair, stands with hands clasped. A woman in white with gold-bordered clothing and a rudraksha mala stands at left, holding a pot. Three physical people are visible, and no appearance-based candidate for a person is clearly identifiable.2015-09-11September 11 20152015-09-11October 10 20102010-10-10A seated man in an orange-red garment with a gold-and-brown bead mala around his neck sits on a carved wooden throne and holds the hands of a young boy standing before him. The boy wears a white dhoti with a gold border and a white shawl, and holds a handheld microphone in one hand. A young woman in an orange top and a row of seated children in white and gold clothing sit behind them in a hall with red and gold decor. The central man's appearance is consistent with a presentation of a person, with his rudraksha-style mala and orange robes, though the image alone does not confirm identity.2015-08-28April 17 20162016-04-17October 13 20152015-10-13September 11 20152015-09-11September 11 20152015-09-11A photograph of an indoor room with cream walls and a dark wooden door. A man in a white dhoti with gold borders and a white upper cloth, wearing a red-orange rudraksha mala and gold bangles, stands and holds a white cloth to the forehead of a young boy in a white dhoti with gold border and red beaded necklaces. Two women in orange and red saris with rudraksha malas stand at the left, and a seated bald man with tilak and an orange-and-gold garment and rudraksha mala watches at right. a person cues are not sufficiently distinctive to confirm a presence, so the central man is described by role as a ritual officiant. A white plastic chair and a red-cushioned chair sit near the doorway.2015-08-20A photograph of a ritual initiation in a temple-style hall. A bare-chested boy with short black hair sits with eyes lowered, wearing a gold-coloured chain and a small amulet case on a cord. A man seated on a gold-trimmed throne, with long dreadlocked hair, a beard, a pink-and-white flower garland and a rust-coloured garment, places his hand on the boy's head and holds a white sacred thread over him. Two boys in white dhotis stand to the left, one bare-chested with a rudraksha-style cord, and an attendant in rust-coloured cloth stands behind. A gold lion-headed figure and a golden stand are visible at the edges. The man's appearance shows several cues for a person, including long dreadlocks, a flower garland, a rust garment and a throne, so the seated figure is a person giving an initiation to a disciple.2017-05-09February 27 20172017-02-27
