Photo 11687490Night-time photo of a crowd surrounding a central figure in a dark red turban and red-brown robe with a white and pink flower garland and rudraksha-style beads, smiling and raising a hand in greeting. Men in white shirts and dhotis, some with white forehead tilak, press around him; a man in an orange-striped shirt and a bare-chested man with white tilak are nearby. Someone in the lower right holds up a phone to record. Strings of green lights hang in the dark background, with a vehicle behind the crowd.2016-03-29March 29 20162016-03-29Photo 11687486 +2 copiesPhoto 116877522014-07-04 +1 copiesNight photograph of a crowd gathered outdoors near a vehicle, with string lights overhead. At the centre, a man in a pinkish-orange turban and a floral garland waves his right hand and smiles; a white forehead mark is visible. Beside him a woman in a gold-and-maroon sari with a gold necklace stands closely with others. Around them, men in white shirts and dhotis, some with red and yellow tilak marks on their foreheads, press in. A grey-haired man with white forehead markings and a bead necklace appears behind them. Several people visible in the crowd. Event context per page: a temple inauguration.2016-03-29Photo 11701832 +1 copiesJune 23 20142014-06-23 +2 copiesNight photograph of a crowd surrounding a central figure in a maroon-red turban and rust-red robe with a long rudraksha mala draped over the shoulders. Several men in white shirts and dhotis, some with white tilak on the forehead and orange or saffron garments, press close and reach toward him while a woman in a teal sari with an orange flower in her hair is in the foreground. A dark vehicle is visible behind the group under a night sky, and a man at right holds up a phone to record. Cues for a person presence are the turban, rudraksha mala and saffron-toned robe, but the face is not visible enough to confirm identity.2016-03-29Photo 11742712Photo 11687502 +2 copiesMarch 29 20162016-03-29
