A seated congregation of women and some men in white ritual clothes sits on a dark carpet in a dimly lit hall, facing forward with hands folded in prayer or resting in laps. Many wear white saris or white dhotis with coloured borders, some with orange or peach shawls, and several wear beaded necklaces and bangles. A woman in a red blouse and white sari sits near the centre, and a woman in a pink sari sits at left. Some wear identification badges on their clothing. The setting suggests a satsang or meditation gathering, with the speaker or altar not visible in the frame.2006-12-29A photograph of a large seated congregation indoors, mostly women in white and cream saris with gold borders, seated on the floor in rows.
