Swags of lights drape along the facade, outlining the roofline and framing an entrance with a doorway and steps. Two lit arched figures flank the doorway, and light strands sweep up into the dark sky toward a tall pole. No people are visible; the setting appears to be a festive lit-up temple or ashram hall during a celebration.2007-10-12Photo 11696200Night photograph of an outdoor Deepavali celebration on a dark, open ground. Strings of multicoloured fairy lights and bulbs are draped across a row of trees and a structure on the left, and illuminated buildings with blue and green lights rise in the background. Several small groups of people in white and light-coloured clothing stand together near the centre, some lit by red and orange glowing flares that send smoke into the air. Figures in saffron and orange clothing stand near a bright burst of sparks on the right. A few small lit lamps sit on the ground and a bright fountain of sparks rises near the lower right. No identifiable a person figure is visible.2013-11-02
