September 09 20102010-09-09A photograph inside a covered temple hall with orange-painted walls, a corrugated roof and ornate painted pillars. In the foreground a man in a brown collared shirt and glasses presses his palms together in greeting. Beside him a man in a red shirt also joins his hands. At centre, a figure in a flowing saffron-orange robe with a long rudraksha mala and a small red mark on the forehead raises one hand in blessing toward the man in brown, smiling. At lower right, a man in an orange robe with a white tilak holds a brass plate of offerings wrapped in a yellow cloth. Behind them an altar with a gold-framed deity murti in a red shrine is visible. Several other people in white clothes stand in the background. A purple logo appears in the upper left corner.2010-09-03 +1 copiesIndoor photo of a gathering in a hall with orange walls and a corrugated metal roof, decorated with colourful patterned pillars. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair wears an orange-saffron shawl and a rudraksha mala, smiling as he extends his hand toward a bald man in a white dhoti and orange-red shawl who is bowing. A man in white clothes with a gold necklace stands at left. Behind a metal railing, devotees in white shirts and dhotis stand with palms pressed together in namaste, one with rudraksha beads and red-and-white tilak. A red carpet runs down the centre aisle toward a stage with a decorated backdrop. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired figure in saffron wrap and rudraksha mala is a distinctive cue-matched candidate present in person.2010-09-04November 02 20102010-11-02March 23 20082008-03-23October 06 20102010-10-06A photograph of an indoor hall under a corrugated metal roof with exposed steel trusses. A man in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe with a long rudraksha mala and a wrapped shawl stands at right, his long dark hair swept back, a white vibhuti marking on his forehead, smiling as he places his right hand on the crown of a shaven-headed young man in white kurta and glasses who bows with palms pressed together. Another devotee in white stands behind, with a few more people and a small brass vessel visible at lower right. This appearance is a probable match for Swamiji, based on the saffron robe, long swept-back hair, and rudraksha mala, and the page notes him as present.2010-09-07October 24 20102010-10-24 +2 copiesPhotograph of a temple corridor lined with steel railings and a canopy roof, with a crowd of devotees on both sides, many with hands pressed in anjali. In the centre, a man with long swept-back dark hair and a red tilak wears an orange robe and gestures toward the crowd while another man in an orange robe with maroon borders carries an orange tray holding folded papers and fruit. Behind them stands a gilded arched shrine containing a deity murti with a garland of flowers, and red and orange drapes frame the entrance. Printed copyright text is visible at the bottom and top right edges. Visible ritual context suggests a darshan procession.2009-12-16A photograph inside a covered hall with an orange-painted wall and striped pillars. A long-haired man in a saffron-orange robe with a rudraksha mala and a gold chain stands at a railing, reaching to take an object from a white-shirted devotee who holds out his hands. Beside him a shaven-headed monk in orange holds a brass vessel on an orange cloth. Other people in white stand along the railing on the right, and a man in a white shirt stands at the left. A framed picture hangs on the wall behind. Swamiji (probable): the long-haired figure in orange with rudraksha mala and gold chain, receiving an offering.2010-09-03March 23 20082008-03-23Photograph of a devotional gathering indoors. A long-haired man in a saffron-orange sleeveless robe with rudraksha malas and a red tilak stands at right, his hands resting on a white cloth-covered tray holding offerings. Behind him a monk in orange robes with a red shawl and beads stands by the tray. In the foreground a man in a white shirt bends forward with his hands extended toward the tray, and several people, including a woman with flowers in her hair, are partly visible at the bottom edge. Blurred figures in the background include a man in a grey-patterned shirt and a red-shirted person. Printed text on a corner of the image reads Paramahamsa Nithyananda, and a fan and a red curtain are visible in the background.2008-03-23
