February 03 20102010-02-03Night photo at a white stone temple with ornate carved tower and lit doorway, lit warmly from within. In the foreground, a man in white kurta stands at left, looking toward the temple. Two people in orange robes stand near the centre, one with long dark hair facing the temple, another in orange further right beside a figure in white. At far right, a person in yellow-orange shawl with a maroon border stands with others in white. Palm fronds hang at the upper left. Appearance-based candidate: a person in orange robes with long dark hair may be a person but the face and build cannot be confirmed, so a person is unsure. Visible people are about six.2010-02-03February 03 20102010-02-03Photograph taken from behind of two people walking away across a temple terrace at dusk toward a white gopuram tower under a pale pink and lavender sky. The person on the left wears a saffron-orange dhoti and matching upper cloth with a maroon-striped border, with short dark hair. The person on the right wears a long sleeveless orange garment with long dark hair. Beside them, a white carved temple pillar with relief sculpture stands in the foreground, and palm trees and white planters line the left side.2010-02-05A procession walks along a stone-paved path between green lawns toward a tall white temple gopuram with sculpted figures and a small red flag at the top. At the centre, a man in an orange-red dhoti and shawl, with a white flower garland around his neck, walks barefoot beneath a multicoloured canopy umbrella held by a figure in yellow. Beside him a woman in a white sari with an orange border carries a silver tray of flowers. Men in orange robes walk ahead, and a man in white on the right stands with hands folded. Palm trees and dense foliage frame the scene.A white temple structure with ornate carved parapets and niche figures, and a tall dark flagstaff rising above the roof. Two figures in saffron-orange robes descend a grey stone staircase: the foreground figure wears a rudraksha mala and a draped orange cloth, and the figure beside him wears an orange kurta and dhoti with a shawl. Several people in white garments and yellow shawls stand on a white balustrade to the left, and red flowering shrubs and a dark green hedge frame the scene.February 04 20102010-02-04September 29 20062006-09-29Night procession of devotees walking barefoot along a stone-paved temple path beside carved granite pillars and walls, lit by a green-white street lamp. Men in white dhotis and orange shawls lead, some in saffron robes and rudraksha malas. A woman in an orange shawl walks at right, another in a maroon sari behind. A man in white with an orange shawl gestures toward the lamp at center. Dark gopuram silhouette in the background.2008-08-02September 26 20062006-09-26Night photograph of a white gopuram-style temple tower rising behind palm fronds and red flowering shrubs, with a small red light on its top. In the right foreground, a man with long dark hair, wearing a saffron-orange robe, stands beside a white stone ledge and rests his hands near a lit lantern. Another person in white is partly visible at the far right edge. Sparse lights glow in the background.2006-09-26Photograph of a procession descending a stone staircase from a carved temple gateway at dusk or night, lit by a single lamp inside the doorway. Carved relief panels of figures line the upper wall and gopuram-style masonry. A central man in saffron-orange robes with a long orange shawl, a gold beaded necklace and a sandalwood or tilak mark on his forehead walks forward smiling with hands near his body. Around him, men in white dhotis and shirts wear orange shawls, some in saffron robes, and a few carry no visible objects. Stone nandi-style guardian sculptures flank the steps. Whether the central figure is a person cannot be established from appearance alone; the page marks him as present, so the appearance-based candidate is described as a person in saffron with ornate gold necklace and shawl.2008-08-02
