November 26 20072007-11-26A photograph of a decorated shrine showing a pair of large painted murti figures seated side by side, a male figure in an orange and red turban and orange dhoti with a white and black beaded necklace, and a female figure in a gold and brown sari with a gold crown and garlands. Both wear white jasmine and yellow flower garlands. Before them is a tall fruit-covered lingam-form arrangement with a strand of fruit, watermelon slices, pineapples, bananas, oranges, sugarcane stalks and a kalasha of offerings. Purple and gold drapes with trident motifs hang behind, and fruit is strung across the ceiling. Stone pillars frame the shrine. These are deity murti, not living people.2007-11-26November 19 20072007-11-19November 19 20072007-11-19November 19 20072007-11-19July 02 20072007-07-02November 19 20072007-11-19March 02 20112011-03-02September 30 20082008-09-30Photograph of a decorated shrine at the Bidadi ashram during the Jayanti Brahmotsavam celebrations. Two gilded deity murtis stand in a golden arched niche, the male figure holding a trident and the female figure in a red sari, both draped in garlands of yellow, orange and red flowers. Before them sits a silver kalasha-like vessel wrapped in yellow and white garlands on a flower-strewn platform. Tall brass oil lamps flank the shrine beside blue curtains, and a small red-clad figure in a garland sits at the lower front. No people are clearly visible in the frame.2008-12-30October 18 20132013-10-18September 30 20082008-09-30
