A group of about sixteen people stands together under a covered concrete porch, posing for a photo. In the centre back, a decorated canopy with yellow and magenta drapery shelters a figure in a red turban and orange-saffron garments wearing a garland, with a second man in a red turban beside him; this canopied area appears to hold a ceremonial murti or image. Women wear sarees, salwar kameez and a bright orange shawl, many with gold necklaces, and children in cream, green and orange outfits stand in front. A young man in a white polo shirt and navy Adidas track pants stands at right, and a toddler is held at left.

Indoor group photo at a KAILASA Melbourne gathering: a large seated statue of a guru-like figure in a black headpiece, ornate orange and green dress, and layered white and multicolored flower garlands sits at the centre, with a silver-toned hand raised in blessing. Around it, a crowd of adults and children in saris, salwar kameez, kurta and casual wear sits or kneels on a pink mat, several smiling and posing. A man in a grey shirt and white dhoti stands at left, and brass plates with offerings, flowers and small lamps lie in the foreground. A puja or Jayanthi celebration setting with a visible statue, not a living person.

A courtyard at an ashram with a red brick wall and corrugated roof. Centre stands a golden ornate throne with a seated statue of a sage wearing a white-and-red bead garland, flanked by two triangular saffron-and-gold banners. A white kolam rangoli design is drawn on the paved floor before it. Around the throne stands a crowd of devotees: men in white dhotis and white shirts with hands folded in anjali, women in colourful saris (yellow, blue, pink), young girls in white and pink dresses, and small children, several holding hands or being held. The scene looks like a darshan gathering before the throne.

A group of devotees gathers in a temple room with pale tiled floor and cinder-block walls, many with hands in anjali. Seated and standing people wear saffron, orange, green, yellow and white saris, kurtas and dhotis; a man in front has a white mask and another wears a blue mask. A golden deity murti with a red-and-gold crown and garlands stands centrally against draped fabric, flanked by white and gold deity statues and dark ceremonial items in the foreground. Oil lamps and flowers sit before the altar. No specific individual is clearly identifiable as a person.

Women wear orange, pink and green saris and salwar outfits, and a young woman in a green top holds a toddler on the right while a younger child sits nearby.
