At centre, a saffron-robed sadhu with a long white beard and orange turban, a rudraksha mala and a white-and-orange floral garland, walks with palms pressed together in namaste. Beside him, a man in white kurta and orange shawl also holds hands folded. Around them, men in white shirts and dhotis and a few in darker clothes press close, some looking on. A carved gopuram-style structure and shop signs appear in the background. The scene is blurred with motion.2006-11-24November 24 20062006-11-24February 10 20092009-02-10September 13 20152015-09-13 +1 copiesSeptember 15 20152015-09-15 +1 copiesNight procession at an outdoor event with bright floodlights and a row of small orange pennants strung overhead. At the centre, a figure in an orange saffron robe with an orange head wrap, long dark hair and a rudraksha mala walks with palms pressed together in namaste. Beside them, another saffron-robed attendant carries a tall gold staff with a ceremonial top, and a man in a white shirt and dhoti walks alongside. Uniformed police officers and dark-shirted attendants line the path, with a crowd of onlookers behind.2008-04-27May 21 20122012-05-21May 21 20122012-05-21A night-time photograph of a procession on a dirt road. In the centre, a bare-chested man with a shaved head, rudraksha mala and a white head band walks barefoot in a saffron-orange dhoti with gold borders, held by a man in a saffron cloth with a long hair and gold neck ornaments on his left. Behind them, sannyasis in saffron robes and devotees in white dhotis follow. On the right, a uniformed police officer in khaki with a red belt walks alongside. Vans and a golden temple structure appear in the background under street lights.2012-05-21A photograph of a temple corridor at night, with stone pillars and hanging lamps overhead. At centre, a man in a saffron-orange robe and a large garland of yellow and red flowers walks forward, with a gold pendant necklace and a tilak mark on his forehead; he has shorter hair and is not shown with the long swept-back hair or crown of the typical depiction. He is flanked by devotees in orange shawls and white dhotis and shirts, one carrying an orange cloth, and a man in a white shirt and dhoti with a white forehead mark stands at the right edge. Several other people in white and orange follow behind in the crowded procession. Given the uncertain appearance, the central figure is treated as a devotee in a procession rather than a confirmed identification.2008-08-02
