Probable Swamiji by appearance: long swept-back hair, saffron clothing and ceremonial gold necklace. He sits before a deity murti draped in a red-and-gold garland with a golden crown, beside a white statue of a sage in saffron with a rudraksha mala. Yellow marigold petals fill a brass plate in front of him, and a large gold palanquin-style stand with carved detailing holds flower garlands. Gold lamps stand in the background, and fruit and offerings lie at the bottom of the frame.2010-07-21A man in saffron-orange robes and an orange turban stands at left, wearing a long multicolored flower garland, and holds a metal ritual vessel from which flames rise. Beside him on a decorated altar are two metal deity murtis, one seated with a raised hand, and a large yellow marigold garland draped over offerings. Brass and silver puja vessels, bowls of flowers and fruit sit on a cloth in front, under a canopy with purple and white decorations. The scene suggests a fire ritual or aarti at an outdoor puja tent.Kailasa Paramparagatha Atal Peetham +1 copiesPhoto 11738530Photo 11738526January 01 20082008-01-01A photograph of a devotee in an orange saffron garment leaning forward to touch a polished gold kalasha-shaped finial on a decorated festival chariot. The gold vessel is wrapped with flower garlands in yellow, white, pink and purple, and sits on a gold base. Behind is a painted horse figure and a teal and red embroidered cloth. The devotee wears a white head cloth and gold bangles, and a rudraksha-style mala is visible near the neck. Setting appears to be a festival procession at a temple chariot.2008-12-29A man in saffron-orange robes with a bare-shouldered wrap and a gold-beaded necklace stands before a golden cobra-hooded deity murti, adorned with red roses, yellow marigold and white jasmine garlands. He reaches toward the image with his right hand, which bears white sacred ash marks on the arm. Behind him, another person in orange holds a brass tray with offerings, and a brass oil lamp stands at left. The setting is an open temple shrine with a white cloth draped over the base. The scene suggests an abhishekam ritual in progress.2010-07-21
