A photograph of a procession walking down a red carpet inside a decorated hall. A man with long, swept-back dark hair and a white-and-red tilak on his forehead wears an orange saffron shawl and dhoti edged with gold, a heavy gold necklace with a large pendant, and an ornate gold armband; he smiles and walks forward with a bare-footed stride. Behind him a younger man in matching orange robes and gold-bordered cloth carries a silver vessel with flowers and a garland. Other attendants in white dhotis with sacred ash markings walk behind, and a golden staff with a tall finial stands at left. Overhead are palm-leaf decorations, marigold garlands, and colourful tasselled fabric, with spectators at the right edge. Elaborate garlands and ceremonial objects suggest a temple or festival procession.2011-03-02March 02 20112011-03-02A photograph of a procession inside a temple-style hall. A man with long, swept-back dark hair, a red bindi and a smile walks forward in saffron-orange robes, wearing layered rudraksha-style beaded and gold ceremonial necklaces and gold armbands; he is presented as a probable Swamiji by appearance cues. Beside him, a second man in saffron robes and a rudraksha mala walks with a wooden staff. To the left, a line of children and young boys in light clothing press their palms together in namaste and hold brass or wooden items. Behind them are a large painted and gilded deity murti with garlands, a red throne-like seat, a videographer's camera on a tripod, and a bare-chested young attendant in white dhoti.2012-04-14December 23 20102010-12-23March 02 20132013-03-02Procession inside a temple hall along a red carpet between metal railings.
