The seated figure sits on a red velvet throne before an ornate gold-leaf carved backdrop with a lattice pattern. Behind them, a woman in a white sari with a red blouse and a red-clad attendant watch and smile, and a gold-coloured ceremonial structure is visible at the left. Appearance-based label: Swamiji (probable), identified by the saffron-orange robe, turban, garlands, rudraksha mala and throne; the bowed man is a devotee receiving a garland.2016-01-17April 10 20162016-04-10 +1 copiesA seated figure in a rust-orange turban and brown satin wrap sits on a red velvet seat before an ornate gold throne back, wearing layered white jasmine and red-and-green flower garlands, gold bangles and gold earrings. The figure smiles and rests one hand on the head of a man in a white shirt who bows low; the bowing man's wristwatch and a pink-and-white card are visible. In the background are green leaves, a clay pot, a green-and-gold deity murti draped in flowers, and seated devotees in white. Swamiji (probable): the seated figure's turban, wrap, garlands and gold ornaments match the cues; this is a blessing scene with a devotee bowing and receiving touch on the head.2015-04-23A seated figure on a red cushioned throne is being honoured in a golden-walled shrine hall. The figure wears a dark turban, a rust-brown robe, layered beaded rudraksha-style malas and a white-and-red flower garland. Behind the throne is a large arch of yellow, white, red and green marigold and rose garlands. A man in a white shirt and orange shawl lifts a flower garland, while a woman in cream and pink clothing presses a small silver dish near the seated figure's hand. Gold seated deity figures decorate the walls. The scene suggests a garland-offering ritual.2016-07-19A seated man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at left with both arms raised, pressing a red-and-gold cloth onto the head of a smiling man at centre-right who is draped in thick garlands of yellow, white, red and purple flowers and a long red-and-white bead mala. Behind them is a gold throne with ornate carved backrest and a silver tray holding offerings. A woman in an orange sari with gold jewellery stands beside the throne, and a shaved-headed devotee is visible at lower right. Peacock feathers and marigolds decorate the scene, and a framed photograph of a tree hangs on the wall behind. This appears to be a ceremonial honouring with garlands and a cloth presentation.2013-01-06November 22 20162016-11-22July 01 20142014-07-01January 17 20162016-01-17July 31 20152015-07-31
