Outdoor photo on a dirt ground covered with scattered spent firecracker debris. Two figures in the foreground face each other: a person in a long white robe with white dhoti-style lower wear and sandals, and a person in white with a saffron/orange scarf draped over the shoulder, bending forward. Behind them a row of onlookers stands along the edge of the ground, including women in saris and salwar, men in white shirts and dhotis, and boys in saffron, orange and red garments, some with garlands. A silver SUV and a concrete wall with a red gate sit in the background. Count of visible people is more than twenty.

Behind them to the left, a line of people in white and orange clothing, including young boys and a woman in a light blue sari, stand beside a silver SUV and a red gate. A bent figure in white kurta and dhoti hunches forward near the centre. Behind them a group of onlookers stands watching, including women in saris (red, green, cream, blue) and young men in white shirts and dark trousers, with a silver SUV parked behind them. Many people in white dhotis and white kurtas, some women in saris and salwar outfits, stand in loose groups watching. Several children and adults in white walk barefoot across the scattered paper and debris, and one person in white and orange cloth bends over a red object on the ground. A white SUV is parked near the wall. The scene suggests a community gathering, with the participants' attire and the ground covered in confetti-like scraps.2008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27Outdoor photograph of a group of men in white dhotis and white kurtas, many wearing orange or saffron shawls and some yellow shawls, walking across a dirt ground littered with spent firecrackers and paper debris. A man in the centre wears an orange robe and a bearded man in a white kurta and orange shawl stands nearby, while one man at right holds a bundle of red strings. A crowd of onlookers in salwar kameez and everyday clothes watches from behind, beside a small white building with a red-roofed canopy, a concrete wall and a parked silver SUV. The scene suggests a Diwali celebration with crackers at an ashram. The most distinctive figure cues are a bearded man in white with an orange shawl, which may correspond to a person, but appearance is not clearly distinctive enough for certainty.2008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27October 27 20082008-10-27
