A night-time riverside ghat scene with several fires burning on the stone steps and platforms along the water. In the foreground, a group of people sits on a white cloth spread over a boat's edge or raised platform; several wear orange and saffron garments, while others wear white and a man in yellow sits nearby. A tall flagpole with a red flag rises in the centre. Bright floodlights and street lamps illuminate tall buildings, scaffolding and smoke in the background, with crowds gathered on the steps. No individual is identifiable as a person from the visible cues.
