A night-time outdoor photograph of a large crowd gathered along a roadside behind a wire-mesh fence decorated with green leaf garlands. On the right, a decorated ornamental temple chariot or palanquin with a striped canopy and lit lamps stands among the people. Fireworks burst in the dark sky on the upper left, and street lights, colourful lights and small parasols line the route. Most people are seen from behind or at a distance, some in white clothing. The scene suggests a procession at night.
