A street gathering outside a pale blue multi-storey building with a sign reading Asshok Bhavan. Several women in bright yellow, orange, red and green saris stand in a loose group, some holding small papers, while a man in a white shirt and white dhoti gestures toward them. Men in saffron-yellow and white dhotis, some bare-chested with yellow shawls, stand nearby. A thatched palm-leaf shelter and a whitewashed board with Tamil text are behind them, and a leafy tree shades the scene.
