Outdoor photograph of a funeral-rite scene on open grass. In the foreground, a woman in a white sari with a red border pours liquid from a brass vessel onto a bed of grey-black ash and charred embers, bordered by a few loose bricks on red earth. A man in white dhoti and white shirt stands barefoot beside her, watching. Behind them, a man in a cream shirt and white dhoti stands, and a man in a pink shirt and grey trousers and a man in green shirt look on. A silver SUV and a motorcycle are parked on the grass. At right, a man in white sits on the ground near a stack of paper and small clay pots. The scene reads as a cremation or final rite site.
