A ceremonial initiation scene on a stage lit by overhead spotlights. A seated man on an ornate gold-and-red throne wears a rust-brown robe, a long white-and-pink flower garland, gold necklaces and beaded bracelets, with a white tripundra mark on his forehead; he places his right hand on the head of a kneeling young man who is bare-chested and wears a white dhoti with a saffron cloth. The kneeling disciple rests his hands on a red cushion and has a yellow cloth bundle beside him. A tall gold trident stands behind the throne, and other young men in white dhotis and saffron cloths stand nearby. Persons probable: the seated figure appears to be Swamiji (probable), giving a blessing or initiation, based on long swept-back hair, rudraksha-style beads, gold ornamentation and the saffron-brown robe.2017-04-08April 08 20172017-04-08April 08 20172017-04-08April 08 20172017-04-08April 03 20172017-04-03April 05 20172017-04-05April 08 20172017-04-08April 03 20172017-04-03April 08 20172017-04-08April 03 20172017-04-03A photo on a stage with a golden ornate throne and red cushion.
