Inside a gilded shrine niche, a large framed portrait labelled "PARAMAHAMSA NITHYANANDA" sits above an ornate golden throne draped with a tiger-striped cloth. The portrait shows a smiling man with an orange turban, red tilak and orange shawl; it is a printed depiction, not a person present. Three women in orange saris kneel before the throne, one in the centre raising a lamp, the others tending flames and small offerings. Hanging brass oil lamps, bells and a golden canopy surround the throne, and painted deity figures stand on either side of the doorway.
