A large, sprawling banyan tree with a thick trunk and many aerial prop roots dominates the frame, its canopy spreading wide over a red-earth ground with low stone platforms around its base. Sunlight glows through the leaves at left. Two small figures in white clothes sit at the left edge near the tree, one seated on the ground, and another white-clad figure stands or sits near the trunk. A green cylindrical marker and white poles stand around the tree, and a colourful painted sign or shrine is visible at far left.
