Outdoor Janmashtami celebration at an ashram courtyard with red poles and a dry sandy ground. A man in a dark grey-green shirt and trousers, barefoot, bends forward while water sprays off him as people pour from brass vessels. On the right, several people in orange and saffron robes stand beside a row of large brass pots, one holding a small brass vessel. A crowd of devotees in orange, black, white, blue and multicoloured saris and kurtas watches from behind a rope. A gold-and-red throne with a red cloth stands at the back, with a striped prayer flag strung above. Green trees and a grey stone building with a corrugated roof form the background.
