Night-time outdoor photograph of a flag-hoisting moment. A tall white flagpole rises at left, with a saffron-orange flag and a purple roundel bearing a white bird flying from its top. A woman in a red sleeveless top with a white and red flower garland holds the red rope and looks up toward the flag. Around her, several men in checked shirts, plaid lungis and light shirts stand with hands raised or joined, looking upward. In the foreground at right, a figure with a grey-black textured head covering wears an orange saffron wrap with a pink stripe, shown from behind. A white plastic chair sits at left, with a lit backdrop and a small framed picture behind the group.
