A photograph of a ritual scene inside a temple-like room. A central figure in an ochre-red turban and matching saffron-red garment wears a thick red and white flower garland, a gold necklace and gold bangles, and smiles while holding a lit oil lamp with both hands over a metal plate. Two bare-chested men flank the frame at left and right, one with a rudraksha mala and ear hoop, the other with rudraksha beads on his wrist. Behind them stands a painted deity murti with a gold crown, gold ornaments and a raised flaming hand. Colourful pillar decorations and a white door are visible in the background.

A smiling person in a rust-orange turban with a gold crest and a red-orange shawl holds a lit oil lamp in both hands, the flame bright at right. A long garland of red beads and white flowers hangs across the chest, with gold ceremonial necklaces and a gold armlet. A large painted deity statue with raised hand stands at the right edge, and draped maroon curtains and a gold-toned lamp stand fill the background. Swamiji (probable) appearance cues include the ornate turban and gold necklaces, consistent with a ceremonial aarti.2014-12-05December 05 20142014-12-05December 05 20142014-12-05A photograph taken at night of a figure in a rust-red turban with a silver ornament and red bindi, wearing a red-and-gold shawl and a thick necklace of red flower garlands with white blossoms and gold beads, holding a clay oil lamp with a bright open flame in both hands. Behind them, two men stand near a wicker basket, one in an orange-red garment with a rudraksha mala and the other with tripundra marks and a white cloth, with a third man in white in the background. The figure has long-haired, saffron-and-ornate presentation cues consistent with the page's description of a person; the appearance is a probable match but not certain, so the figure is described by role as the lamp-bearer. Dark background with warm lamplight.2014-12-05December 05 20142014-12-05December 05 20142014-12-05December 05 20142014-12-05Photograph of a temple ritual in an interior with yellow-and-brown wooden doors and colourful painted pillars. A man in a rust-orange turban and orange robe, wearing red and white flower garlands, gold necklaces and a bangle, smiles while holding a flat clay lamp, and a second man in a black and gold embroidered crown, orange robe, rudraksha mala and gold bangle lights the flame with a taper. A further lamp burns at the bottom edge and a partly visible person stands at the left edge. Brass lamps are visible behind them. The turbaned figure may be a person, identified by the orange turban, ornate attire and garlands, with the role of lamp-holder in puja.2014-12-05February 19 20152015-02-19 +1 copiesDecember 05 20142014-12-05Four people perform an aarti with a lit oil lamp in an indoor room with pale walls and a fan.
