A night street scene in front of an illuminated procession float or temple chariot draped in light, backed by dark, leafy trees. Several women in saris stand in a row on the right; one wears a blue sari and another a light-coloured sari with a dark border. A small child in a checked shirt stands in front. Men in white and in orange-brown dhotis or robes move near the lit float, and a figure in a dark robe stands beside the glowing shrine structure. A street lamp and parked vehicles are visible in the background. Wet pavement reflects the light.

On the left, several people sit on a raised platform or floor near a white-curtained front, some wearing orange and yellow garments, with a standing figure in white near a pale statue. In the foreground and right, around a dozen standing people in white and light clothing stand on the road, some holding objects, in a procession or gathering. The motion blur suggests a long exposure, and a sign reading the words partly visible on the orange building.2006-10-25October 24 20062006-10-24October 25 20062006-10-25Night photograph of a crowd of devotees walking toward a brightly lit, ornate temple gateway or shrine entrance with carved pillars and glowing lights. Many people sit in rows, many in white or cream clothes, some in orange and yellow saris, with brass vessels and offerings set on cloth in front of them. A standing man in a white shirt and white dhoti stands at right beside a lamp-lit shop front. A bright overhead light and a large tree frame the scene. No figure can be confidently identified as a person from appearance; the page notes his presence but the visible cues are insufficient.2006-10-25A night-time photograph at a temple courtyard beneath a large spreading tree with glossy green leaves and pink cloth strips tied to its branches. Several men in white dhotis and white shirts stand on the left, one older man with white hair in the foreground. On the right, a group of people in saffron and orange robes gather near a pillared shrine; one robed figure holds a lit flame or oil lamp near the ground. A person in a dark shirt stands at the right edge. The pillars and dim walls are lit by low artificial light, and the scene is dark overall.2012-05-21A blurred night photograph of a street lit by a sodium streetlamp under a large tree, with orange glow and white-walled houses. Several people stand and walk on the roadway, some in white and cream clothing, and a group sits on the left side of the street in white garments.
