A man in a flowing orange-saffron robe, with a shaved head, a beaded necklace and a long wooden staff, stands at the back holding a silver fire vessel aloft with flames rising from it. Around him, white-clad men and women sit and stand, some with hands joined, and a line of seated devotees fills the background under dim lamps. Coloured canopy umbrellas and smoke frame the scene. Other people wear white dhotis, saris and shawls, with orange stoles on some.2007-02-11A seated figure in an orange robe holds a brass plate of burning camphor flame over a homa fire pit built of white brick. The fire inside the square brick pit burns brightly on a dark outdoor ground beneath a large tree. The person wears a red tilak on the forehead, and offerings and a small bowl lie to the left. A corner of a dark blue cloth and a small woven mat are visible. Appearance suggests a person in an orange robe performing homa with a fire aarti plate; the figure is a ritual participant, not a deity murti.2006-09-21A standing woman in an orange sannyasi-style robe holds a tall, multi-tiered brass aarti lamp with a large flame aloft in a dim hall with rock-textured walls. Seated devotees in white and orange shawls watch from the left, and brass vessels and a small tray sit on the floor in the foreground. A white-draped low seat is on the right beside a patterned mat.2005-12-19Outdoor fire ritual at dusk. A brick-lined homa fire pit burns brightly in the foreground, with marigold petals scattered on the bricks and small brass bowls of offerings nearby. A person in a saffron-orange robe with a red forehead mark sits cross-legged behind the fire, holding a lit brass oil lamp in one hand and a small ladle-like ritual implement in the other. Beside them, a second person in white clothes with an orange shawl sits behind a microphone stand. Two people are visible in the scene, with bare ground and dark foliage behind them. The saffron-robed figure's appearance is consistent with the page's reference to a person, but identity is uncertain from appearance alone.2006-09-21A night ritual photograph at a fire. A man in orange-saffron robes stands beside a large open flame, holding a thin stick over the fire with his right hand while his left arm is folded across his chest. He wears a rudraksha mala with a pendant around his neck and a red tilak on his forehead, and his long curly hair falls past his shoulders. Above him an ornate canopy with fringed edges is partly visible, and a microphone stands at the right edge of the frame against the dark background.2006-11-20
