A four-panel photo collage of a night-time annadan meal service. Top left, a dense crowd of people sits and stands closely together, some holding plates, with an older bald man in saffron cloth near the front. Top right, rows of people sit on a tiled floor under hanging lamps while helpers in white serve food. Middle right, a larger hall with many seated diners in white and colourful clothes under lit lamps. Bottom left, a bare-chested man in saffron cloth holds a steel plate of food and serves a woman in a green sari, while an elderly man with white beard and folded hands stands beside her. Bottom right, a man in saffron robe stands among men in white clothes before a table with framed photographs and offerings. Lamps and street lights glow in the background.

Women in orange saris and men in white shirts and white dhotis stand and kneel around large metal pots and heaps of food, handing out food packets and portions to a crowd of villagers, including children and women in colourful saris. In several panels, saffron-robed monks with shaved heads sit beside the pots, serving or observing. Panels show annadan food distribution, with sacks and bowls of grain visible. The grid is a graphic, so no physical people are counted from the collage itself; the crowd visible in the photographs is described above.2012-01-03January 03 20122012-01-03October 14 20112011-10-14 +1 copiesSeptember 12 20112011-09-12September 30 20162016-09-30
