Around them, several people stand in white, cream and orange-red clothing, including a woman in a white sari with bangles, and a man in white at right holds a small brass bell. Copper and brass pots sit in the lower left corner.

A man in a saffron/orange turban and orange robe, with a long white and pink flower garland and red-and-black rudraksha mala, pours water from a small metal pot over a sapling planted in a floral rangoli circle of yellow marigolds and pink petals. A man in a white shirt and white dhoti kneels at the sapling's base, while a woman in an orange sari stands at left, a woman in white with a yellow shawl holds a tray of pink petals, and more people in white stand behind. Outdoor photo of a land puja on bare red earth beneath leafless trees. A standing man in an orange turban and orange robe, with a white and red flower garland and rudraksha mala, looks down at the ground. Two people kneel at a freshly planted sapling surrounded by a chalk kolam design strewn with yellow marigolds and pink petals: a woman in an orange robe with a maroon border and a man in a light blue shirt and white dhoti. Behind them stand devotees in white clothes, some with yellow shawls, and a woman in a white sari with a gold border holds a small brass vessel. A patterned mat lies on the ground. Standing figure shows distinctive long hair, orange turban, garland and rudraksha cues, so the in-person candidate is probable.

The person has long, dark, swept-back hair, a red tilak on the forehead, and wears a long rudraksha mala of dark beads. Beside them, another person in orange robes and a red-maroon top sits with a brass bowl of yellow-coloured offerings. Other people in orange and white clothing stand and kneel around the planting, and a white-clad man on the right holds his hands together. The scene suggests a tree-planting ceremony outdoors.

The scene reads as a land puja with a sapling offering.
