A woman in an orange sari with flower garlands and rudraksha bracelets performs a ritual of waving a lit oil lamp in front of a brown cow with horns and a bead-and-bell decorated harness. Another brown cow and a calf stand behind her, and a devotee in orange is partly visible at the top. Marigold petals lie on the ground, and a street or village setting appears in the background. The scene reflects a gau puja, with the lamp flame and burning oil lamp prominent in the foreground.

A black and white cow with long golden-tipped horns walks along a dirt path, draped in a red and gold embroidered cloth and wearing a white cloth band and rope halter. Behind it, a line of people in white shirts and dhotis, orange shirts, and cream and yellow saris follows along. A woman in a yellow shawl and cream sari stands at right, touching the cow's side. Banana leaves and a roadside billboard appear in the background.

A woman in an orange saree stands at left holding a small brass plate near a cow, which is draped with an orange and gold cloth and eating hay from the ground. Behind them, a large printed portrait on a golden pedestal shows a figure in an orange turban and orange robe, wearing garlands of pink flowers and a gold necklace, with one hand raised in blessing. An oil lamp sits on the stone steps, and a tree and stone wall form the outdoor setting.

A photograph of a cattle puja at an outdoor shed. In the centre, a bearded man with a white-marked forehead and hair tied up wears an orange cloth wrap and a pendant necklace, bending over a large brown cow with curved horns. He holds an oil lamp with a visible flame beside the animal's head. At left, a figure in an orange garment with white markings on the shoulder and a beaded necklace reaches toward the cow, and a person in pink stands behind. Other cattle are visible in the background.

A woman seen from behind performs a gau puja beside brown cows. She wears an orange cloth wrapped over her shoulders and a bare back marked with white ash stripes, with rudraksha malas and beaded necklaces around her neck and wrists. She holds a brass lamp with a bright flame toward the muzzle of a brown cow with curved horns and a decorated harness with bells. Another cow stands nearby in soft-focus, with a bright blurred background. The scene reflects animal worship during Mattu Pongal.
