THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUISM HDH BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM
Photos:
On 16th Jan '07, Bidadi ashram celebrated Mattu Pongal with lots of fun. It is a traditional Indian Festival wherein we worship cows which is considered as a very Sacred and offer our gratitude. In early times Cows and Bulls served as the main source of livelyhood by providing milk and helping in agriculture. Once in a year through this festival we offer our gratitude to the Existence by worshiping these Sacred Animals. This year's Mattu Pongal has been special because of the Birth of Ananda Nandi as per Swamiji's prediction.
Following are pictures taken of this beautiful ceremony.
