A man in orange robes with a garland stands at left, holding a brass oil lamp and a plate toward a gold-rimmed brass tray set on a red and gold draped pedestal, while a figure in orange with long dark hair beside him also holds a flame lamp. Two other men in orange robes stand nearby, and a woman in a white sari stands at right near a ledge hung with a bell. A gold and red throne with a red cushion sits at left beside rows of brass lamps, and yellow marigold garlands and rangoli-style floor patterns are on the floor. This appears to be an evening lamp ritual (aarti) with the flame carried over the tray.2010-01-01June 20 20142014-06-20June 22 20142014-06-22December 26 20132013-12-26A photograph of an indoor puja at a temple-style hall. A man in saffron-orange robes with a saffron head covering and a long rudraksha-style bead necklace stands barefoot before a decorated deity murti, holding a lit oil lamp in both hands. The murti is adorned with red and white flower garlands, a golden crown and gold-and-yellow silk drapery. Brass vessels, a plate of fruit and flowers sit on a low table in front. Behind him, rows of small figures wearing colourful cloth stand against the wall. An older woman in a white sari with a purple border and gold necklace and an older man in a white shirt and grey trousers stand watching, along with a man in white dhoti and shawl with a red border at right. The man in orange appears to match the a person appearance cues of saffron clothing and a bead necklace.2008-07-20
